1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the SynthMail service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Synth Mail ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). SynthMail is an AI-powered voice assistant that helps you manage emails, tasks, and calendar events.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, and contributors of content.

2. Service Description

Synth Mail provides the following core features through the SynthMail platform:

  • AI assistant for email summarization and productivity management
  • Calendar integration and event scheduling
  • Task and event creation and management
  • Reminders via assistant and calendar notifications
  • Productivity Insights dashboard (daily, weekly, and monthly activity tracking)
  • Inbox parsing and intelligent scheduling suggestions
  • Voice-based interaction and commands

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice to users.

3. Account & Eligibility

To use the SynthMail service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Usage Restrictions & Fair Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including copyright laws)
  • Transmit any worms, viruses, or malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Abuse trial periods or promotional offers through multiple accounts
  • Excessively consume backend or API resources beyond normal usage patterns

4.1 Abuse Prevention & Monitoring

We monitor usage activity to ensure fair use and prevent abuse. We reserve the right to:

  • Limit access or deny service to accounts with abnormal usage patterns
  • Deny refunds if a user consumes more than 80% of available features during a billing cycle
  • Suspend or terminate accounts engaged in abuse, fraud, or excessive resource consumption
  • Deny refunds to users who abuse trial periods or create multiple accounts to bypass limits

5. Subscription Terms & Free Trial

5.1 Free Trial Period

Duration: New users receive a 7-day free trial to explore the Service.

Usage Limits: During the trial period, the following daily limits apply to prevent excessive backend and API consumption:

  • Daily cap on AI assistant interactions
  • Limited number of calendar and task actions per day
  • Daily limit on voice commands
  • Restricted number of reminders

These limits ensure you can explore the value of our Service while maintaining system performance for all users.

5.2 Paid Plans

Billing: After the trial, you may subscribe to a paid plan. Subscriptions are billed monthly and automatically renew unless canceled.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you'll retain access until that date.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Synth Mail and its licensors.

The SynthMail name, logo, trademarks, and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Synth Mail.

7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

Synth Mail does not warrant that:

  • The Service will function uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Service or servers are free of viruses or harmful components
  • AI-generated summaries will always be accurate

IN NO EVENT SHALL SYNTH MAIL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Porto, Portugal.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
